This
Conference brings together food industry leaders with the invitation to
look beyond the horizon and share their views on the future of food and
its impact on a range of stakeholders in Australia and abroad.
Globalisation,
technological advances, science, market forces and access, changing
demographics, and environmental concerns have increased trade and
expanded the variety and complexity of the food chain. Accordingly, food safety
management has evolved from inspection and end-product testing to become
a science-based exercise focussed on shared responsibility, on targeting
and managing identified risks in the food production process to produce
close to specification all of the time, and on delivering desired health
outcomes.
We
are constantly looking into new ways to keep up with fast moving food
trends and exploring ways to make our eating experiences safe and
healthy. The Conference aims
to capture the essence of this evolution and has something for everyone
including:
§
awareness
of the emerging trends in health and safety objectives
§
how to
implement new regulations affecting consumers and industry from paddock
to plate
§
how to
address community perspectives on future foods, market trends and the
nature of food regulator’s responses
§
how
to balance consumer expectations with ever increasing innovation in the
food arena.
